Green Stuff on the surface of the soil in the garden of the house?
I have a small inner garden and lit ... I wonder about these things grow planter long, and some of them I noticed some green things on the top floor ... looks almost like moss, but it is more viscous and not upward as mossy fibers do (which is not thick or anything). The matter seems almost viscous, but is very green as moss. In some ways resembles the algae? The plants are at temperatures ranging from 85-105 degrees F (obviously) with the light constantly. I greatly mist twice a day for temperatures below. Does anyone have any idea what ANYTHING that could be green? Why only some of the planters? Is it harmful or not to worry about that? I could upload photos later if not sure what I'm trying to describe what let me know if you need photos please come back later. Thank you. Here are photos da: Are http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/2614/img2595gl7.jpg http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/7702/img2598ey7.jpg you sure that is mold?
its a mold / pollution of its soil. You'll have to replace soil and thoroughly clean your containers and make sure that none of the green plant is transferred (if boot Container) - I would monitor them unti time to replant. My guess is that you create a hot and humid environment that is the cause. I had the same problem with some plants that are in front of the south hot exposure in my home. Good luck
